Because recordings have been such an important part of my own career, I know how much value recorded music has for audiences across the world, and – as in the case of NMC with its commitment to never deleting titles – across the years. The service NMC provides to British music is unparalleled. The opportunities it gives composers, artists and audiences to discover and share such a wealth of music is something to be treasured. I hope you will join with me both in celebrating what has been achieved so far and in looking to the future of this bold and adventurous organisation with confidence. I hope and believe it will inspire and challenge us for many years to come.'

I have many many NMC recordings adorning my crowded shelves - and I'm deeply grateful to NMC for its commitment to interesting and worthwhile recent music. It is quite jaw-dropping in trying to imagine what our knowledge of much contemporary music would be like if NMC didn't exist. Thank you so much for all your work. For me, NMC is part of the indispensable furniture of the universe.

Have to thank you for the two superb Lutyens discs. They are my favorites among all of my CDs of 20th century music. The Goehr ARIANNA, Gerald Barry's INTELLIGENCE PARK and the David Bedford program are also remarkable. Thank you so much for making all of this wonderful music available. What an incredible journey from the first recording to today's incredible catalogue, not to mention the accompanying fantastic website and other resources! It was an extraordinary privilege to be involved in building NMC near the very beginning from 1992-95, to work with so many fascinating composers and performers and then to watch it grow. Many congratulations to everyone who has made the label what it is after an amazing quarter-century of promoting British music.

in a climate which is now hostile to anything other than the crudely commercial, NMC is a beacon of light in the wilderness. My 1978 piece CRY was put on to CD by NMC in about 1990, and has been kept available and on sale for more than 20 years by them. Had it not been for this, it would have been discontinued (or probably pulped) and the piece would have been forgotten. My undying gratitude . . .

It is difficult to imagine that the ranks of composers of previous generations are not seething with envy over the phenomenal advocacy, promotion, and top-quality production values that modern composers receive from NMC's endeavors. Thank you for your twenty-five years of support of the best in new music; if only there were similar initiatives from organizations of NMC's dedication and skill here in the USA and elsewhere!

Just two of the finest of the hundreds of living British composers you champion. As the trusted archive of all that is best in the UK we have to support NMC into the next 25 years, and beyond. Thank you for some of the finest music I have listened to over the years. I am grateful to have been able to access such composers as Julian Anderson, David Matthews and Simon Bainbridge, to name just a few. Extraordinary A&R: vital, engaging music. Your recordings fly in the face of all the blather about the "death of classical music." Many of us are still highly interested in cds and in contemporary music of this quality. Keep the recordings coming! Providence, RI, USA
